Il provino musicale poteva essere una facile scusa per adescare la vittima. I cimiteri della città erano quello di Rose Hill (ispirato al cimitero Mount Auburn di Cambridge) e quelli di Oakdrige e di Riverside, tutti siti in Riverside Drive: tutto ciò alimentò la voglia di Hodel & Co. di collezionare schiavi per l’aldilà. La zona è nei pressi del fiume Ocmulgee e del relativo tempio piramidale e, soprattutto, la collinetta del tumulo funerario, possibie luogo di occultamento del corpo. La ciliegina sulla torta è una nota della vittima recapitata al fidanzato con scritto “ci vediamo domani”, un classico depistaggio da parte dei membri del gruppo Zodiac.
