La zona non è lontana dallo Smith Pond, da Riverside Drive e dalla Sunrise Highway. Cooper. Il riferimento alle Bahamas era comparso infatti nell’ultima lettera di D.B. Cooper Hodel e la capitale di tale Stato è Nassau, collegata alla Paradise Island. Mary Beth era sorella di Jeanne ed era figlia del poliziotto di New York Edmund J. Heinz, quindi è stata punita con la legge dantesca del contrappasso ed è stata scelta come vittima a causa della sua residenza vicino al centro commerciale Roosevelt di Garden City, dove sorgeva il Roosevelt Field da cui l’aviatore Charles Lindbergh partì per uno dei suoi numerosi viaggi transatlantici.
