The film "Chelsea Girls" by Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey was filmed in that hotel. Due to Dante's law of retribution, the feminist Valerie Solanas (who would later shoot Warhol but without killing him, because he was still a loyalist of the powers that be) had met her future publicist, Maurice Girodias of the Olympia Press, right at the Chelsea Hotel.
