WHO KILLED ROSS REYNOLD MCCONNELL?

As reported by https://iowacoldcases.org/case-summaries/ross-mcconnell/, an arson attack broke out on June 26, 1971, resulting in the death of Reynold McConnell, 11 days later, on July 7, 1971. McConnell was a WWII veteran who worked for the Fruehauf Trailer Corporation, the firm founded by August Fruehauf, who had collaborated on NASA's Gemini project. Neighbor Dwain L. Hill said McConnell had felt threatened for days. Under Dante's law of retaliation, McConnell was then killed by Edward Burns Edwards on behalf of the Zodiac group of George Hill Hodel and Margaret Strong Rockefeller and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The crime scene is 1604 Tichenor Street in Des Moines, near Alpha Avenue (the first letter of the alphabet anticipates the escalation of the Alphabet Killer) and the Grandview Golf Course, which is the link to identify the next victim (Michael Kitch). As reported by https://mamfa.com/artists/tichenor-bridget-bate, Bridget Bate Tichenor (related to many European aristocratic families) began her career posing for Zodiac group member Man Ray (friend of Hodel) , to then join a group of surrealists and magical realists who had moved to Mexico, as well as Fred Sexton, who together with Hodel and John Huston composed the 3 Amigos. The idea was the fruit of cousin poet Edward James, portrayed by Renè Magritte, patron of the magazine Minotaure wanted by Andrè Breton to gather the members of the Zodiac group (see Ray, Marcel Duchamp and Salvador Dalì), a story that would later inspire Hodel and Sexton in positioning Elizabeth Short's corpse to refer to the Minotaur, as well documented by former super-cop Steve Hodel in his books on the crimes of his father. It is therefore not surprising that Tichenor's works were bought by the Churchills and Rockefellers, as reported by https://alchetron.com/Bridget-Bate-Tichenor. Also note that after the photo of superwitness Sandy Betts with actor Burt Reynolds at Lake Berryessa in 1969 (see https://www.zodiacciphers.com/zodiac-news/the-sandy-betts-story-tracked-by- a-killer), Hodel had retaliated by killing Reynolds' girlfriend (Inger Stevens), once the latter had left the house after arguing with her. In 1970 and 1971, the crime TV series "Dan August" aired, in which the protagonist was played by Burt Reynolds. The story may have further inspired the character D.B. "Dan" Cooper, who would soon be played by Hodel himself. It is therefore not surprising to choose Ross Reynold McConnell as the victim. Very close to Tichenor was the photographer Francesco Scavullo, who had worked for Walter Annenberg's “Seventeen” and for Horst P. L’idea era frutto del cugino poeta Edward James, ritratto da Renè Magritte, patrocinatore della rivista Minotaure voluta da Andrè Breton per radunare i membri del gruppo Zodiac (vedi Ray, Marcel Duchamp e Salvador Dalì), vicenda che avrebbe poi ispirato Hodel e Sexton nel posizionare il cadavere di Elizabeth Short per rifarsi proprio al Minotauro, come ben documentato dall’ex superpoliziotto Steve Hodel nei propri libri sui crimini del padre.Non sorprende quindi che le opere della Tichenor fossero state acquistate dai Churchill e dai Rockefeller, come riportato da https://alchetron.com/Bridget-Bate-Tichenor . Da notare anche che dopo la foto della supertestimone Sandy Betts con l’attore Burt Reynolds al lago Berryessa del 1969 (vedi https://www.zodiacciphers.com/zodiac-news/the-sandy-betts-story-tracked-by-a-killer ) , Hodel si era vendicato uccidendo la fidanzata di Reynolds (Inger Stevens), una volta che quest’ultimo era uscito dall’abitazione e aveva litigato con lei. Nel 1970 e nel 1971 è andata in onda la serie TV poliziesca “Dan August”, in cui il protagonista era interpretato da Burt Reynolds. La vicenda potrebbe aver ispirato ulteriormente il personaggio D.B. “Dan” Cooper, che sarebbe a breve stato interpretato da Hodel stesso. Non sorprende quindi la scelta di scegliere Ross Reynold McConnell come vittima. Molto legato alla Tichenor era il fotografo Francesco Scavullo, che aveva lavorato per “Seventeen” di Walter Annenberg e per Horst P.
