WHO KILLED KATHY SNOOZY & DEBRA GAYE FURLONG?

The Zodiac killer announced on July 31, 1969 that if his demands were not complied with, he would have killed on the weekend. On 3 August, in fact, Kathy Snoozy and Debra Gaye Furlong were massacred with 120 stab wounds, with corpses hidden in the hills of San Josè in California. La location porta quindi la classica firma del militare Ulisse Joe B. e di George Hill (collina) Hodel. A finire in prigione è però Karl Francis Werner, che inspiegabilmente confessa i delitti, pur essendo innocente. A confermare che Werner sta mentendo è la Monticello Card di Zodiac del 1971, in cui l’autore riferisce che non bisogna ascoltare le persone false, lanciando anche poi un messaggio subliminale a Paul Avery, il cronista che si era occupato della vicenda a livello giornalistico. Da notare anche il fatto che l’investigatore Dave Toschi era convinto della colpevolezza dello Zodiac Killer. Ulisse è il noto utilizzatore del cavallo di Troia e Furlong è un’unità metrica pari a 660 piedi utilizzata nelle corse per cavalli. Snoozy è invece il personaggio triste de “Le avventure di Penelope Pitstop” di Hanna-Barbera, rilasciato un mesetto dopo il delitto e avente fra i personaggi l’Ant Hill Mob, con la formica che è un riferimento al Mikado tanto amato dal gruppo Zodiac. Visto che anche questa volta i delitti sono strettamente legati al mondo del cinema e che 120 coltellate diviso 2 fanno comunque 60 a testa, quindi sono troppe, è quasi certo che i 2 sicari professionisti siano stati affiancati dal milionario William Thoresen III, che aveva una casa a San Francisco, ma il cerchio si allarga. Fra gli autori di Penelope Pitstop c’è Michael Maltese della Warner Bros., ricordiamo che il Maltese Falcon è la principale opera legata a Fred Sexton, complice di Hodel e dipendente sempre della Warner di Jack L. Warner.  La Snoozy è sepolta al cimitero di Oak Hill.
